Dr David Eccleston


David Eccleston has been working with MediZen since it was formed in 1999. He is a General Practitioner in Birmingham, but has maintained a special interest in Cosmetic Dermatology since 1993. He is one of the UK's most experienced injectors and trainers and is a Member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors. He specialises in the use of Lasers, Botox and other cosmetic injectable aesthetic procedures and is one of the few medical practitioners in the UK to have undertaken clinical trials on the use of the world's most popular injectable cosmetic treatment, Botulinum toxin, for frown lines. Ethical committee approved studies on cosmetic injectables have also been performed for leading companies including Allergan, Galderma and Merz Pharmaceuticals. David has undertaken clinical trial work on a number of other aesthetic procedures including the world's first study on the use of Vavelta® (allogeneic fibroblasts) for acne scarring. Dr Eccleston has also appeared in many magazine articles and several television and radio interviews on the subject of non-surgical medical aesthetics. He is a medical adviser for the UK's largest aesthetic information website, www.consultingroom.com and sits on advisory panels for a number of leading companies involved in producing products & treatments for the aesthetic market.
